Purpose or Pressure Driven?

by

According to multiple surveys, purpose is the clear fan favorite among millennials for things they desire in a job. Millennials also represent the largest workforce segment at 38.6% and growing.

This rising generation wants to know the clear purpose of the company they work for, the team they are on, even their purpose inside or outside work.

They desire clear roles at a minimum, and that’s a great place to start. Use this roles worksheet to help them reverse engineer and clarify their purpose in the workplace. A person’s top three roles point toward a more explicit purpose at work.

If you’re a business owner or team leader, use the Ten-Year Business Letter to clarify your business purpose. Then it can be easier to frame out the roles and responsibilities mentioned above.

After that, schedule a meeting to discuss the topic with your company and/or team leaders to see if everyone is clear.
